Simplyseedz, Supplier to Team GB Story
In November 2019, we were discovered by the head of nutrition for the British ParaNordic Ski team to supply them for future sporting events in 2020. There were plans to support the athletes nutritional needs and our porridge pot range suited their needs perfectly.
However, as we all remember, 2020 changed everything.
The Pandemic.
Coronavirus.
The world was a different place
Lockdowns began, loved ones lost and all was bleak.
Events in all formats understandably cancelled.
And to be honest, at the time here at Simplyseedz, we didn't know how the year or how life was going to be going forward.
We just kept our head down, followed the rules and prayed that this period in our lives would be over as quickly as it seemed to arrive.
Fast forward to November 2021.
We'd been away for a few days and we were driving home, when a call came through from a lady trying to place an order on our website. The customer was having a few problems ordering online (sometimes these things happen) so I offered to call her back when I was in the office.
That call happened to be from the head of nutrition for Team GB!
We discovered it was a website quantity issue!
And so the order was placed via our trade process and we were absolutely thrilled to bits!
The order was to supply atheletes and trainers for the Beijing Winter Olympics and our porridge pots were included as part of their kit bag.
Chuffed, proud, an awesome acheivement, it was as if we'd won a Gold medal ourselves!
And we continue to have many atheletes, from the games, who regularly order Simplyseedz Porridge Pots.
