No Oven Granola

10 Minute Homemade Granola, Using a Frying Pan!

Yes, it's true, you can make granola without an oven.

Instead, simply use a frying pan! 

With my recipe, you will have the best and freshest homemade granola in less than 10 minutes.

This in my view is the best way to make granola rather than in an oven, where you have to keep a very close watch so that the ingredients don't burn.

 

If you use an Air fryer to make granola, which is good, you still have to interrupt the cooking to stir and check that the granola isn't overcooked it burned.


Using a frying pan is much easier to clean, as I've always got better things to do with my time than spend it at the kitchen sink!

 

 

So, let me share how to make granola without an oven.

 

All you need is 

a frying pan, 

a good nob of butter (approx 10-20g) or for extra flavour a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil , 

a couple of tablespoons of soft brown sugar (or a good drizzle of honey/maple syrup), and approx 50g Simplyseedz Oats with seeds.

 

Put the butter into the frying pan and let it melt, once melted add the sweetener of choice and stir.

 

Add the Simplyseedz oats to the pan and stir so that the melted butter coats the oats and seeds. You can add a hand of nuts at this stage too.

 

Cook in the pan stirring regularly until the mix has become evenly golden brown. Cool and add some sultanas or dried fruit of choice (eg dates, raisins, apricot, cranberries).

 

Enjoy!

Store in an airtight container. 

 

Serving suggestion:

Use this as a topping on fresh fruit and Greek yogurt.
