10 Minute Homemade Granola, Using a Frying Pan!
Yes, it's true, you can make granola without an oven.
Instead, simply use a frying pan!
With my recipe, you will have the best and freshest homemade granola in less than 10 minutes.
This in my view is the best way to make granola rather than in an oven, where you have to keep a very close watch so that the ingredients don't burn.
If you use an Air fryer to make granola, which is good, you still have to interrupt the cooking to stir and check that the granola isn't overcooked.
When using a frying pan is much easier to clean, as I've always got better things to do with my time than spend it at the kitchen sink!
This no-oven granola can even be made when camping! I made this recipe this morning, in our caravan for our breakfast and served with yoghurt, strawberries, and blueberries.
So, let me share how to make granola without an oven.
All you need is a frying pan, a good nob of butter (approx 10-20g), a sprinkling of soft brown sugar (or a drizzle of honey/maple syrup), and approx 50g Simplyseedz Simply Plain Oats with seeds.
Put the butter into the frying pan and let it melt, once melted add the sweetener of choice and stir.
Add the Simplyseedz Simply Plain oats to the pan and stir so that the melted butter mix coats the oats and seeds.
Cook in the pan stirring regularly until the mix has become evenly golden brown. Cool and eat straight away!
Use this as a topping on fresh fruit and yogurt.
NOTE:
Add any extra dried fruit when the base has cooked, simply put the granola mix into a bowl, add any fruit, such as sultanas, and cranberries, and stir. Store in an airtight container.
If you wish to add nuts to the recipe, add these when you add the oats to the pan.
