"Unhealthy versions of breakfast cereals including muesli, porridge oats and granola will be included in a UK junk food advertising ban from next year. Pitta bread snacks, rice cakes, tea and coffee with added sugar also fall within the regulations that prevent unhealthy food being advertised online or before 9pm on TV."
Unhealthy food should have limits on being promoted especially when targetted at children. And from next year, UK TV advertising rules will change and can only be shown after the 9pm watershed.
We've always wondered how do the likes of the big cereal guys with their sugary coatings or sugar laden milk powders sleep at night knowing their ultra-processed products do more harm than good?
At Simplyseedz, our porridge range is not in the HFSS category, and never will be. Our clean simple porridge oat recipes are designed to properly nourish. Cathryn, our founder, changed her non-breakfast habit for health reasons and discovered the benefits of eating porridge by fuelling her day ahead with oats, seeds and real fruit.
And although we're not in the position to market our range on TV, we are discovered through recommendations and endorsed by nutritionists, such as supplying Team GB Olympians and Paralympians. Who wouldn't want their children to eat and be like an athlete?
We are stocked across the UK and beyond and for those retailers who haven't yet taken the plunge to offer Simplyseedz, we welcome your enquiries.
Drop an email to hello@simplyseedz.co.uk and we can take it from there.
We look forward to hearing from you!
