Can I eat oats on a Ketogenic Diet?

Those who follow a ketogenic (keto) diet plan will be aware that to get your body working in ketosis, you have to minimise high carbohydrates (starch) and therefore oats, classed in the high starch category, tend not to be recommended.
However, high fibre grains such as oats will not hinder your keto diet if you are following fasting diets, for example the The Fast 800 where some calories are restricted. We recommend checking out The Fast 800 diet, (written by Dr Michael Mosley) not only is this publication great for weight loss tips, but it has excellent recipe ideas too, to keep you well nourished. Clare Bailey Mosley, Michael's wife, wrote a small article back in 2020 for the Daily Mail, approving the Simplyseedz range for its unprocessed qualities.
To help with weight loss and reduce sugar, you can include more whole grains, such as porridge oats, and eat them with natural fats (yoghurt, peanut butter, chia seeds, nuts), which slows any sugar spike.
So yes you can enjoy Simplyseedz oats, especially as we use wholegrain and seeds!
Good news! Simplyseedz porridge oats are keto-friendly since they are a blend of British jumbo oats, pumpkin and sunflower seeds in 5 different flavours. Our porridge has no added sugar or artificial sweeteners and are dairy-free. The sugar content is purely from the natural ingredients.
